When you fill out this form it will be sent securely to me. I will then send it to an airman, marine, sailor, or pilot in Iraq or Afghanistan. Some of the servicemen and women there receive no mail or support from the states at all, anything you write would be appreciated.

Hello,
My reason for writing this letter is to let YOU know how very thankful I am that YOU are the reason that I have MY FREEDOM here in the U.S.A. I also want to SALUTE YOU for your COURAGE, your DECISION to do this, the STAMINA to keep on going when you feel like you cannot take another step from exhaustion, being mentally tired and missing your LOVED ONES and FRIENDS. I am Eternally Grateful for YOU! With LOVE and FRIENDSHIP, Darlene Lance

Thank you for your service. The members of the armed forces of the USA set the standard for the world. No other group of people exhibit what true sacrifice means, as do our service personnel. Keep up the good work, CYA, and come home as soon as you can.

I am a veteran and I’m seventy years old. I never thought I would be this old; it just happened. I prefer writing as a means of communications these days because nobody can see my gray hair, many wrinkles and be tempted to discount or disregard anything I have to say because of them.
Hopefully, my words will mean something to you; from me to you, they are sincere.
For whatever reason or circumstance, you find yourself in harm’s way and are serving as an extension of your country’s foreign policy. I believe there is evil in the world and no amount of diplomacy or encouragement to, as the prophet Isaiah said, “come, let us reason together” will work. Evil must be defeated by whatever means so the rest of the world can be safer.
Not everyone believes the way I do. That’s part of true freedom. But, you are doing what I think is right and necessary. Consequently, you are my heroes and I thank you.
God bless you, stay safe and I hope you can come home soon.

Thank you!! From the bottom of my heart! I appreciate your courage, bravery and willingness to put yourself in harms way…so that my family can hang out and go to the park…walk to school..ride our horse..ride motorcross…walk the dogs…go to the movies…go out to dinner…get on an airplane…travel to see family…and live in our warm and toasty house – with running water and toilets, a/c, forced air, refrigerator…with beer! I find it interesting that serving in the military does not hold as much status in the public as say a doctor, teacher, fire fighter, policeman…and yet, those are some of the jobs servicemen/women hold in our military…I have a feeling that is changing and for the better…times are tough her for most of us…although it does not compare to willingly giving up all of the comforts of home to fight for our freedom….and the comforts of home…Thank you for believing in our system of government and holding our freedom in your hands…I am eternally grateful!

Hello,
How are you; I hope at this writing that you are well, as safe as you can possibly be. My name is Orashi, however my nickname is Phyl short for Phyllis.
I am an adult living in a suburb in California, near the state capital of Sacramento. I am overjoyed to be able to write to you and say ‘thank you’ and although we may never meet face to face, allow me to say that I hope that in the end, this was all worth it.
I prefer writing as a means of communication these days because I write much better at times from the heart then I do in person, and pplus since you aren’t physically availble for me to shake your hand, I wanted to at leaat share my thoughts.
Hopefully, my words will mean something to you; from me to you, they are sincere. For whatever reason or circumstance, you find yourself in harm’s way and are serving as an extension of your country’s foreign policy. I believe there is and will always be evil forces in the world and others who for whatever reason cannot appreciate all that we have because they may not have it. There is no amount of diplomacy or encouragement to, as the prophet Isaiah said, “come, let us reason together” that will work for all of us. There will always be those who for whatever reason just don’t want to be on friendly terms for any reason. Evil must be defeated by whatever means so the rest of the world can be safer. That included all on this world that we all enjoy. Because not everyone believes as I do, true freedom is not a benefit enjoyed by everyone in this world. Its hard to understand why, but with history I can see why in some places that might not be possible. Mayhem, greed, evilness, all of the above. With the world in the current situation now with total unrest and the economy out the window, I wonder if anyone really knows why it is and what exactly we are fighting for? But true freedom is sometimes worth the fight if what it brings is to be enjoyed by the masses.
What you are doing is what I think and believe is right and necessary. Consequently, you are my heroe(s) and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you, stay safe and I hope you can come home soon.

Hello,
I can’t express my thanks enough for the job you do everyday to keep us safe and protected. It is not an easy job and often not appreciated enough.
God Bless and Keep You.
I will pray for your safe return.

Hello,
Again we meet again primarily for me to say thank you for your continued service. I hope you know that although today marks the day to honor those on the battlefield for us and our country that I personally want to thank you for your daily service to protect us from harms way. I may never get the oppotunity to meet any or all of you but I just wanted to say thank you again, and to say I hope and pray that your are one day home with your family and friends.
Protecting me and mine from harms way is a difficult and stressful job, and I want you to know that I will never be able to repay you for the years, time and service you have put in for me and my family. Hppy Memorial Day!

There are times, I suppose, when we all feel alone… but, one should never feel alone serving one’s country.
There is nothing more substantive than receiving a note or a card when one most needs it. It is like hearing a voice in the darkness. I should like to be one such voice in the darkness – a friend, if you will, at a time most needed.

To whom it may concern:
Just a note of continued thanks for all of the hard work, lost hours of sleep, bad surroundings, and extrmeme heat that you are being subject to. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for servicing and protecting me from harms way. I want to remind you that there are many here in the US who will never be able to thank you enough for all of the hard work you and your Unit have put in. It means alot of me that you are there doing this to protect so many and although I may never meet you or be able to thanks you personally know iin my heart that you are appreciated. In a million years I never anticipated that our country would ever get back into war, but since we have I know that it has been a difficult assignment. If there is anything that can be done to reciprocate other than continued prayer, please do not hestiate to ask. If I can do it, I will.
I also would like to say that you have a great support in the President these days with President Barack Obama and his Administration. I hope that if you need anything, that you do not hesitate to contact him and ask and I know he will do what he can to get what you need.
I pray for your continued safety and support in these trying times. We support you and your Unit through all of your hard times. Until we meet again,
Sincerely,
Phyllis Folk

To any Serviceperson in need of a little extra support from back home. Here I am, I sit on my porch and gaze across the corn fields of Iowa and I think of you and how all of this would be gone if not for you. I see my home, green grass and a peacful place. Thank you so much for taking care of me and my family. If you need me here I am..

Hello,
This year at our family XMAS gathering, I would love to hand out the addresses of service men/gals who are serving for our country in Iraq or Afghanistan. It would show the true meaning of XMAS is we can take the time to communicate with someone who has sacrificed his time/family/life to protect us so we can enjoy everything that we take for granted.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Thanks,
Karin

Hi,
To all the service personnel. I am sure being away from home and your loved ones is difficult at anytime but more so during the festive season. Know that you are in thoughts and prayers, whoever and where ever you are. Your call to serve in whatever capacitiy is greatly appreciated. Thankyou does not seem enough to express the gratitude that you deserve. God Bless you all.

Hello to all the wonderful men and women serving our country. Words can not express my profound gratitude for all the hard work and dedication you give the country. Two of my cousins served, so all of you have a special place in my heart. I hope you all are safe and will someday return home.
I realize that the holidays must be lonely. Know that my family and me are praying for you. I wish you a Happy and healthy New Year! Keep in touch.
Love,
Kate
